About 24" Boys Bikes

The 24" wheel bikes are considered the last special child's bike size. They are ideal for boys with a height of around 135cm to 145cm, or maybe a little more. There are many great bikes in this size range, offered by some of the best names in cycling, such as Specialized and Scotts, as well as some of the best value boys bikes, such as Raleigh and Apollo.

Anything larger than a 24" wheel bike will usually be considered an adult size bike. This is where bikes sizes can get a bit confusing. Kids bikes sizes go by the wheel size. Adult bike sizes go by frame size. Most standard adult bikes will actually have 26" wheels, but you may find these bikes with a choice of frame sizes. So a teenage boy for example, may require an adult bike with an 18" frame.
